aww Winter Break. . .

Yes, winter break has finally began for me. Usually we get a total of two weeks for break (which I really wish we had), but since it falls on a Saturday this year we only get one and a half. Joy! I've been losing a great amount of sleep lately and I finally get to catch up on some rather than my usual four hours or five if I'm lucky.

Expect a vlog post soon, very soon. And probably a blog post with pictures too since I'm going to go visit my family in Baltimore tomorrow. I get to drive up there on the highway. Eek! I get nervous when I have to drive especially on the highway (I don't really care for it). I'm always worrying that I get in a crash, or cause of crash, or even worse. However, I really need to a car to get around in this town in order to go to school, after-school activities, and so on.

Three more days until its Christmas! I'm ready for it this year. I got my family a bunch of cute things especially clothes for my mom because I felt like hooking her up with some great pieces for the winter here in Virginia. And of course at my household we are celebrating with movies. My favorite of all is Love Actually.

I'm just finishing it now with my mom. I'll probably watch it again before and after Christmas. Its a true favorite.

It is a very British movie filled with romance, comedy, and heartbreak. Its a favorite and I completely recommend watching it because their is laughter and the Beetles. I don't think any British movie would be complete without the Beetles. Favorite character Sam because he fell in love and knew the "total and complete agony of being in love."
At least once in your life time I advise that you watch this movie. Its definitely a favorite, like I've said eighty times already.
So Love & Love Actually,
justBEE
P.S. cautionary note for viewers under 17 the movie is rated British R.

Look What I Found

Sorry guys, super apologies are coming your way for two reasons. 1. My mother went to go get my camera a new memory card and has placed it with the Christmas presents. Which means no vlog post yet but I am looking in the market for a webcam. Any recommendations? 2. Also, my mother's camera's battery is fried so we're trying to get here a new one and a higher lens because she has been hinting about that's what she needs.

But until then I've been in the market looking at shoes, they're my new fetish, especially wedges and heels. I saw these shoes V V Brown is wearing in the November issue of InStyle

If you can see her shoes there is this black fringe-type-fur-thing going down the heel. Its called a mowhawk heel and courtesy of Krystal of This Time Tomorrow has produced a DIY: ysl palais mohawk suede pumps

"Alright, ladies and gents. Here's the much-anticipated DIY post for those YSL palais mohawk suede pump look-a-likes I was sporting the other day, both here and here.

Hopefully I didn't build this up too much, because the process here is pretty simple (after all, I could do it!). So here's how the story goes...

For starters, you'll need the following:
- pair of black suede pumps of your choosing; I chose a pair from Forever 21, $22
- glue gun
- small strip of black faux fur (the longer the fur, the better)
- scissors

First up, you'll want two identical strips cut from your original strip. Try eyeballing it while holding it up to the back curve of the heel, to get an idea of how thick you want the strip to be. Mine were roughly an inch in width and I made sure to have it run from the very top of the shoe to the base of the heel.

Once you have your two strips, warm up the glue gun and start gluing!

To give extra oomph and the "mohawk" effect, I sprayed hairspray on the fur and sculpted it into the mohawk shape. (If you happen to be crazy like me and try this DIY at work, your coworkers will look at you funny, promise.)

Next, WEAR THOSE PUPS around! (This is when said coworkers start coveting the shoes, making the funny looks worth it.)

And that's it. See? Painless and didn't put you out $935."

I would definetly do this but since I don't have an extra pair of heels to transform or a job to pay for an extra pair of heels to transform. But I thought it was a lovely project to share with you the bold followers who would want to try this.
So Love & Mohawks

p.s. I'm going to post more on things in general and I'm going to do a vlog post.

What I'm Up To

Right now I'm currently writing a paper for the play A Raisin in the Sun and I'm continuously getting writer's block. While I'm watching 500 Days of Summer! I finally saw that movie and I'm in complete adoration of it. Have I said that I really want Summer's wardrobe. I'm thinking that I have but I don't mind saying it again!

Even though I finally did a post yesterday I spaced out and forgot what to write about what I'm thankful for. So when I was gathered around the huge feast I had with my family I came up with the greatest conclusions. I'm surrounded by loving family members, (like my wonderful parents) what could be any better? Blessed with all of the things I have now and all of the opportunities I can gain. Friends who can put up with my madness. Imperfect eyesight so I can wear cute glasses and stand out from all of the contacts people at school (not that there isn't anything wrong with contacts because I occasionally wear them). My own computer. My loving dog/baby Tyler who puts up with my insanity and is always there. Music that synchronizes with my feelings. Along with clothes that help express myself. These are all of the things I'm thankful for along with you special followers that tolerate my tardiness from the blog world. I'll try not to disappoint in the future I promise.

I just love the holidays; a chance to relax and be with family along with celebrating. Its probably one of the most relaxing and important times of the year. Too bad I'll always have work during those breaks well I'm off to finish this paper and start another one.
So Love & Thanks,

I'll be back!

Alright, I've been gone for a total of 2 months without saying something and I haven't posted any photos of me for a total of 3 months. Let me say, "I feel like a failure blogger." I've wanted to post but I haven't had time or haven't had anything decent to share, which isn't an excuse because a lot has happened to me in the past 3 months that I haven't shared with the few amount of people who read this blog so thank you for following me.

1. I have purchased a number of variously great things from Urban Outfitters (my favorite store), Forever21, and H&M. I've had a huge clothing haul from all of those stores from wedges and heels (which I've NEVER WORN prior to this) to cardigans and graphic shirts. I will admit that I've worn some of them but most I haven't because the numerous occasions in which I get up at 5:30 in the morning and have to catch a bus at 6 o'clock doesn't really allow me time to think of great outfits and put them together. But I have been receiving tons of inspiration and will be posting pictures of them (I've gotten a new photographer, my tripod).

2. On October 2nd of this year I went to my first homecoming dance and it was a success. I loved every minute of it and wish that I could relive it! Everyone loved my dress and I'm definetly posting pictures I just haven't been able to locate my camera's adaptor (my room is worse than messy). But the pictures are gorgeous and I can't wait to show them to you!

3. School has been crazy. For the first month in English we had to write 5 analysis papers on these short stories (the teacher loved my writing but took five points off for my messed up works cited page). Then we had to read this book Of Mice and Men, which I didn't really like, and watch this movie La Strada that I thought was pretty interesting all in the same month. Now I have to write a 4 to 7 page paper on archetypal comparisons between this book and movie that is due on December 2nd. While also reading the book The Tempest by Shakespeare and writing annotations on it. Pretty much my work life has been crazy and I'm not really appreciating it right now.

4. I got casted in my school's Drama Production A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry in which I had to play the very zany character Mrs. Johnson. Let me say the character was a nut and everyone applauded me for being such a great nut/nosy neighbor. I was the comic relief in this play, which I think is pretty comical itself because I don't really think of myself as "funny." My grandparents even drove down to see it which I thought was so great of them. Plus I also helped with costumes in which I had to hand sew an African robe; I put the robe together in 1 day and everyone said I did such a good job putting it together on such short notice (the robe did look really good). Now I kinda want to start sewing clothes for myself now.

5. I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and I'm in love with this final installment! I had a lot of dark colors which made it so much different for the previous ones in a GOOD WAY (specifically the 3rd and 6th ones, I didn't really like those). My brother thought it was boring, but I loved every minute of it! I'm starting to get into the films that concentrate on the actual emotions of the characters and all of the scenic, costume, and lighting designs that effect the movie (I'm really getting into my technical theatre class at school which talks about all of these things).

I may even post up a vlog post because I'm discovering those may be faster to make for the near future. You'll probably see my messy room but like I said I've been SO busy lately and hopefully I'll be even more busy coming up. However, break is here and I do promise that I'll post some more posts because for once I don't have that much homework (well besides my papers to write). So I will be back!

She & Him - In the Sun

This song has been stuck in my head all day. I can't stop singing or watching it. I love what Zooey is wearing, actually I always do. Anyways this is a good video, I love She and Him. Oh and the dancing is just swell!

Regina Spektor - "Us" [OFFICIAL video]

I'm very obsessed with this song right now thanks to the movie 500 Days of Summer. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I really want to. I'm trying to find my own copy, but instead I bought the soundtrack and am listening to this 80 times a day. For your pleasure please enjoy:

p.s. I plan on doing a vlog very soon!

New Things This Week.2

These past two weeks have been crazy! So I have a lot to fill you in on.
1. I watched a grey hound named Hawk these past two weekends, and the last time a watched him for four days and was paid very well. However, I'm thinking about giving some of the money back, don't take any the next time I watch him. Oh and I couldn't find my camera to take any pictures, besides my dog, Tyler, didn't appreciate it that I've been hanging out with another dog.

2. I took a mini photo shoot at Jada's house, the puppy boxer I watched two weeks ago, and I even took them with my mom's camera. Sad thing is that I can't find the cord to upload it into my computer,, and I was entirely pressed for time because of the hot weather. So it'll be awhile until I find it.

3. My best friend from middle school Kathleen took me to this Agricultural Fair. It was so fun and I took some pictures, but my battery died. Therefore, I have a couple of pictures, but I'll describe the whole thing in another post. However, I also can't find the cord to plug in my computer with this camera either so again I apologize, but it will be awhile.

4. I get to work Freshmen Orientation tomorrow! I'm really excited because I can fill in some kids about what goes on in my school that's beyond what the teachers and brochures will tell them. There is over 500 kids in the Freshmen class; so I'm looking at 100, 200, or 300 kids showing up, and about 38, or 48 in my group. YIKES!

5. I finally found shoes that goes with my 60's Homecoming dress! There like these lace Mary-Jane high heels. I love them and WILL wear them besides Homecoming. Did I mention that I went to this SCA retreat in which we talked about Homecoming, and Spirit Week ideas. Our theme is Gameboards: Seniors have Candyland, Juniors have Clue, and Sophomores (my class) has Life. I wanted Monopoly because it sound interesting, but my fellow officers had no idea what to do with the float so it looks like it will probably be the Freshmen theme.

6. I'm still not done with my English summer assignment. I have no idea why because I've been working on it since school has been out. Its mostly the essays that have been getting to me. I know its silly to say, but my brain has shut down since its been summer and these essays aren't helping they're just stressing me out for the upcoming school year.

7. I've been watching a lot of 60's and 50's movies and I'm loving the fashion style in all these movies so I'm thinking about doing a photo shoot inspired by one of these movies. I have no idea which one, but I'm definitely going to do one. Oh and I will also post it once I've found the cord for my camera.

8. I've also been reading some books, so I'll probably be doing a photo shoot inspired by the characters in the book. Therefore, I owe 2 photo shoots and 2 post of the pictures I've already taken.

9. And finally my Aunt has given birth to a beautiful baby boy on August 13th! His name is Arthur after my grandfather, and I can't wait to see him! I know my mom is excited to see him because she can't stop talking about how when we were little, and how she wishes she can turn back the time, and freeze us at specific ages. I think she is mourning the fact that my brother and myself are very close to graduating.

10. I did some school shopping and realized that my style has changed. This year I want to go for this menswear, grunge, thrifted, vintage, and a bunch of other things style. I did this fashion inventory of what I have and realized that I already have whats coming out in department stores. However, I do plan on visiting these two vintage shops in Town because of this article I read in the newspaper. Although I did order some things on Urban Outfitters, and Delias that I plan to show you guys once they arrive. And I'm so glad it will be fall because I have a lot of great pieces for fall.

That's all that has been happening these past two weeks; its been pretty crazy with school about to start back up again. Uh goodbye my summer freedom. Hello school.
So love & new things,
justBEE

p.s. I enjoy reading the comments, they mean a lot to me even though I will admit that I've been in a blogging-funk.

Movie Muse.2

"Its Hairspray."

I just love this movie! Let's just say its my go-to musical movie. I have no idea why I have a fascination with this movie, probably because I love the entire costumes, and the entire plot of being on a show and just dancing for other's entertainment. However, I think its mostly because of the entire fashion era with all of the puffy skirts for women, and put together suits for men. Maybe its because they remind me of cupcakes; the dresses I mean, oh and the skirts just whoosh up when you twirl. I would never get tired of that, the twirling and the skirts whooshing up I mean.

Uh I just wish that entire 60's style stuck around for 40 more years. Haha, just kidding then we would have as great fashion eras like the 80's, or even the 70's. However, voluminous skirts were seen on the fall runway, so I'm excited to see them returning in today's era. Thank you so much Louis Vuitton for advertising and sort of starting it.

Well back to the movie. My favorite character, well I don't really have a favorite character because I think all of the people cast in this movie are just perfect for their roles, and their is too many to keep track. Therefore I really don't have a favorite character. Although, I do have a list of top favorite songs from this movie.

Top Favorite Songs:
1. "Without Love"
2. "I Can Hear the Bells"
3. "You Can's Stop the Beat"
4. "Nicest Kids In Town" (mostly because of the costumes)
5. "The New Girl In Town" (they look like cupcakes, I really want their dresses)
6. "Ladies Choice"
7. "Run and Tell That"
8. "(Its) Hairspray"
9. "Come So Far (Got So Far to Go)"
10. "Welcome to the 60's"

My mom wants to take me to New York to see a show and I of course said, "Lets see Hairspray." If its still showing.

Zac Efron is also in this, so its definetly a favorite; even my dad is starting to like him because of the movie 17 Again. Its starting become one of my dad's favorite.

I just love this movie for the 8th time I've repeated it. I could watch this 80 times and never get tired of it; actually I've watched it over 80 times and I'm still not tired of it. So if you love musicals, 60's fashion, great 60's dancing, voluminous actors and actresses, and a great message then I recommend watching this movie.
So love & Hairspray,

new things this week.1

I'm going to start a new thing every week, since I have a tendency to not post for weeks I'm going to give updates.

Number 1: I got my Driver's permit! First try and I completely passed the test, and I've slowly been practicing driving around empty school parking lots. More like practicing once a week.

Number 2: Went to my Aunt's baby shower. Marilia had a glow about her and the baby boy she was carrying, but didn't take any pictures because my camera's battery died and my mom forgot her own. I can't wait to have another baby to babysit and get a chance to earn money.

Number 3: I'm dog sitting this week, and she is the cutest puppy boxer in the world. However, she has so much energy I keep on having to go to bed early just to keep up with her.

Number 4: I've been watching more movies than working on finishing my last summer assignment. So that means a lot of Movie Muses posts to come. And I've also been trying to borrow or buy 500 Days of Summer and Pirate Raido to watch. However, from hat I've seen for clips is that they both look great.

Number 5: I've also been reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow because I've been addicted to the previews. Also picked up some classics to read; for instance To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Catcher in the Rye.
Number 6: I've also been doing some major shopping. So a lot more newer outfit posts to come, if I get around doing them.

Number 7: While walking my dog one afternoon I've discovered this small trail going into this little patch of woods that I'm going to go explore. Hopefully not alone; I plan on finding a friend go with me.

Number 8: A fellow blogger is having a giveaway. She is the main reason why I've started my own blog and to follower her in the beginning when she had just 27 followers and to see her go to 100 is pretty cool. It's like knowing someone before he or she was famous. Well Maggie of Lifesize Paperdoll is having a 5-dress giveaway and I hope you enter in it. I have no idea of how to post a cool link and my computer won't let me click the link-thingy-clicker-thing, but here is the url address to where you can enter: http://life-size-paperdoll.blogspot.com (known fact competition is actually good so enter!).

Well thats all the new things in my life; If there are any for you tell me.
So love & new things,

The finer things in the world.1

There are things in the world that need to be shared.

( I totally want to recreate this! )

( I'm now inspired to have my brother's guitar in my pictures. ) ( All of the tops of my dressers look like this. Haha. ) ( I'm recreating this as well. )

( Completely want to recreate the BOTH of these. )
( I thought this was awh-worthy. ) ( This too was awh-worthy. )

( I think this is so romantic. I kinda want to recreate this. . . . )

( . . . and this one too. The style of clothes as well. )

So love & to the finer things in the world,

p.s. I think I went overboard with the pictures. Oh well.
EDIT: I tried using this from microsoft, and it didn't work out.
